Compound Library
FKKTLib - Compound Library of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, University of Ljubljana
The Compound Library FKKTLib currently contains 3,428 unique synthetic compounds, which are the result of numerous studies in numerous projects at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, University of Ljubljana. Most of the compounds collected in the library are heterocyclic compounds, documented in the scientific literature. Most of the samples of compounds in the library are in solid form and are stored in cryogenic vials, which are marked with a QR code that allows us to trace the samples. To ensure the stability of the samples, they are stored under argon in a freezer at -25 °C.
Information about the compounds in the library is stored in an online, fully accessible database based on the open-source MolDB6 solution developed by Prof. Norbert Haider from the University of Vienna. The FKKT Compound Library uses MySQL, an open-source database implementation that uses SQL to work with data. The molecular structures with the associated data are stored in relationally connected MySQL tables. To search by structure or substructure, the system uses the checkmol/matchmol program. The search is carried out in two steps: Pre-selection after molecular fingerprint matching, followed by a full comparison between the atoms of the remaining candidates.
The Compound Library can be accessed via this link: "FKKTLIB".
