Summary:

The project focuses on the development of hybrid biopolymer-based hydrogels with precisely controlled mechanical and transport properties. Its main objective is to develop a predictive model that enables reliable prediction of hydrogel properties based on composition and preparation conditions, thereby reducing reliance on approaches based on trial and error.

The research integrates experimental hydrogel characterization, rheological analysis, and machine-learning methods. The developed model will be applied to the design of hydrogels with predefined properties, with the preparation and 3D printing of hydrogels for wound-healing applications serving as a proof of concept.

The project contributes to the development of sustainable biomaterials and more efficient strategies for their rational design, while also enabling the broader application of the predictive approach in other engineering contexts.
