Z Univerze v Wrocławu vabijo na International Meeting on Theoretical and Experimental Chemistry: How to Design and Study New Compounds with Potential Application (IMTEC 2026):

"We are writing to cordially invite you, the students, PhD students, researchers, and teaching staff alike, to participate in the “International Meeting on Theoretical and Experimental Chemistry: How to Design and Study New Compounds with Potential Application (IMTEC 2026)”. The conference will take place from the 1st to the 3rd December 2026 as a free-of-charge online event hosted by the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Wrocław. The time zone of the event is CET (GMT+1).

This event is co-organized in partnership between the University of Wrocław, the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, and the Wrocław Centre of Networking and Supercomputing (WCSS).

IMTEC 2026 is dedicated to bringing together experts from experimental and theoretical chemistry to explore the current state of molecular design. Our mission is to highlight how experimental data can be rationalized, applied in molecular design, and directed toward predictive models. This synergy allows for the development of new structures that continuously verify and improve molecular design frameworks.

This year, the scientific program will cover the following key topics:

• Design and synthesis of functional materials and biologically active compounds
• Investigation of physico-chemical properties (optical, magnetic etc.)
• Computational approaches to new compounds with potential application
• Modern approaches in drug discovery
• Integration of AI-driven tools into the design process
• Development of efficient and sustainable catalytic methods for the synthesis of chiral and biologically relevant compounds
• Rational design and optimization of biologically active compounds with potential pharmaceutical applications, especially in the treatment of parasitic infectious diseases
• Environmentally friendly methods for the determination and speciation of metals and metalloids

The conference will provide an excellent opportunity for undergraduate and postgraduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and senior researchers to present their research progress and engage with leading experts. With this in mind, we welcome contributed 15-minutes talks, 5-minutes flash presentations of posters as well as online poster session.
